"No! God no! That's not true! Your lying!" Taylor yelled at the doctor that was standing in front of him and the rest of the people there. He couldn't take it. He ran down the hall, and around the corner, but no one chased after him.
Zac just stood there, in complete shock. He couldn't believe it. He wouldn't believe it. He ran into Cara's hospital room and saw it for himself. She was there, eyes closed, and the breathing machine was gone. He walked up to her. "Cara, how could you do this? We were going to fight this, you were going to be okay. I promised you! I promised you..." Zac broke down into sobs. He didn't care if anyone saw him crying. For the past month he tried as hard as he could to hide his emotion. But now, he didn't care. He sat on the bed and cried. He cried for thirty minutes before someone walked into the room. It was Marie.
She walked over to Zac and put her hand on his sholder. He looked up and surprisingly jumped up from where he was sitting. "Zac, honey? Are you okay?" She said it all to calmly for him.
"No, I'm not okay! My best friend is dead! Gone! And I didn't even get a chance to say good-bye!" He started to cry again, sitting on the bed.
"It will be okay," she said, resting her hand on his sholder again.
Zac jumped up. That was it. "No! It's not going to be okay! Cara was like a sister to me! She was the one I could tell anything to. Now I have no one!"
Marie walked close to him. "You have me. Tell me what you are thinking."
Just then the door opened and in walked the rest of the group.
"Okay! I'll tell you what I'm thinking! I'm thinking that you don't give a crap that Cara is dead! You don't care! You are happy!"
Marie tried her hardest to act surprised. "Zac, that's not true!"
"Yes it is! The way you say it will be alright and don't worry about it. You don't care at all! Hell, it was your fault she died in the first place!" Another fresh set of tears started comeing. Zac ran out of the room, leaving all the other teary-eyed people standing there, astonished.
"That's not true!" said Marie, and walked out the door.
Robin walked over to her daughter. "Oh, honey. Look what you got yourself into. Look! You could have achived so much. You already had. But look at you now." She burst into tears and everyone pulled her out of the room.
Taylor saw this and went into the room, being the only one there. He walked over to Cara's bed. "How could you do this to yourself? How could you lie to everyone like that so you could loose a little weight? How? We all loved, Cara. We still do. Every one of us." He paused and looked up.
"God, how could you do this? How could you take the love of my life away from me? How? I did everything you wanted me to! How?..."
Taylor grabbed Cara's had and squeezed it. He bent over and kissed her softly on the lips. "Your body might not be here anymore, but you can't die. Not your spirit, not your soul. And neither can my love. I love you Cara Johnson, and I always will."
