About Absolutely Elsewhere and Sinister Produce Ink

Mission Statement:Absolutely Elsewhere is a web site dedicated to ecclecticism. It is, as any homepage should be, a reflection of the views of its creator. The site was created both to provide information to the pagan community that could not be found easily on most other pagan web sites, and to provide a space for some of the other pieces of Sinister Produce Ink, including essays on philosophy and meditations on the state of life in general. Absolutely Elsewhere attempts to synthesize everything in the site, and encourages the reader to think about the site in a holistic sense. Everything here is interconnected; in the mind of the author, if nowhere else. Eventually, the set up of the site should reflect this proposition, although the designer also wants to make this site as user-friendly as possible.
Like its creator, Absolutely Elsewhere is constantly growing, expanding, and changing. As the creator learns more about paganism, more essays and information will go up, and the same with philosophy, and life in general.
Finally, Absolutely Elsewhere is dedicated to the proposition that the Rennaissance human is more than just a dilettante, and that learning is the key to living, and observing the key to learning.

Design Statement: Sinister Produce Ink has tried to keep Absolutely Elsewhere relatively free of graphics, blinky-thingies, and images that take a long time to download. This is because the designer is not fond of them on other websites, and thinks they distract, rather than add to, the total experience of a website. The web is an alternative resource for information of all types, and not a nightclub(usually.) The designer also brings her experience from the written page, and is trying to make lots of text interesting and readable on the screen without making it distracting or cheap.

Creation of:
Absolutely Elsewhere,this Web Site, is the first foray of Sinister Produce Ink into internet publishing. It was mostly created with Netscape Composer, which is a WYSIWYG tool for creating web documents. Because I was learning as I went and was mostly teaching myself, this site is mostly created without an extensive knowledge of html, which is a sad state of affairs, if you like. Since the creative side of Sinister Produce Ink has become enamored of this site and of web publishing, I have decided to learn html. I will probably do this in the same way it created this site; namely, trial and error. Therefore, future pages on this site may be attempts at html writing and should be viewed with a generous spirit. Of course, for those people who write html, the original pages should be viewed with a generous spirit: the problem with WYSIWG programs is they write bad html.

Thegraphics are taken from many places on the net that offer free graphics. To save space, only on certain pages or pages where lots of one person's creations are used are their logos displayed, but all can be found in the graphics links section of the links page.

Sinister Produce Inkis just the designation given to the prodution and creation side of my brain. Anything written by me, sketched by me, or created by me is produced by Sinister Produce Ink and probably published by it, too. Sinister is just a reference to the fact that I am left handed, and so most of my work gets done with that hand. Mystery cleared up?
