We have rolls and rolls, in my parent's house, of photographs of flowers and landscapes that my father used to take, some in black and white, for use in the darkroom, some in bright color. In Kenya, I found myself following in my father's footsteps, snapping at every flower that came along. Here's the beginnings of my virtual flower press-book-- much easier on the flowers, I hope!
We will start with the lantana, found wild along roadsides
and everywhere else in Kenya-- |
Next, the hibiscus. Found in all shapes, sizes, and colors, growing all over Kenya. |
This garden of small flowers sits in a bed outside a cafe at the National Museum. |
| Next we have a small yellow flower. Nothing really special about it; it's just real purty. I like purty. |
Time to go home?
