STORY
BEHIND THE POEM JUSTICE EH?
.
This poem was written back when drastic
changes were being made to the criminal justice system, making it far more
lenient on offenders. Pierre and his gang, refferred to in the poem was
Pierre Trudeau The Prime Minister of Canada at the time and the Liberal
Partry of which he was the leader. Meanwhile I also refer to Kaiser Bill,
which was the nickname of Bill Bennett the Premier of the Province of British
Columbia.
.
In it I chronicle the decline of the
system and how criminals would soon be wandering free. Even I, as bitter
as this poem reads, didn’t expect the system to degenerate to the point
that it has reached today. Criminals arrested today, just laugh. They know
they will be free before we can finish the paperwork. I had one crook state
to me, after threatening to kill several witnesses, "I will be out tomorrow,
I will hunt down and kill every witness, I’ll get out because there isn’t
a judge around with enough balls to hold me in custody". I included that
statement in my report hoping to prove him wrong.
.
It seems he was right, a judge released
him the next morning. To date he has not harmed the witnesses, only because
he does not know where they live and I refused to include their addresses
in my report.
