The Hole
.
On February Seventeenth, several months ago,
A noisy party was the call, would you and Gary go?
Surely, we responded, where is the party at?
Victoria and Gravely, there is no more than that.
.
And so we headed up there, to quell the party noise,
On the street, at that locale, were several teenage boys.
The house we quickly spotted, by following the crowd,
We listened to the music, which was playing very loud.
.
So Gary went up to the house, whilst I stood on the porch,
Knocked upon the doorframe with, my trusty metal torch.
Now when the door was answered, the boy got quite a shock,
For, there stood two policemen, his face went white as chalk.
.
Through the door we wandered, and heard a warning shout,
Look out, here come the cops, then all went running out.
Back outside we started, to head back to the skids,
When all around our car I saw, a group of angry kids.
.
One lad was in the motion, of smashing out a light,
But when he saw me coming, it gave him quite a fright.
And then he started running, escape his master plan,
Down the street and up the block, the little turkey ran.
.
He only travelled half a block, when I grabbed him by the shirt,
When suddenly the ground gave way, and we fell into the dirt.
I was very quickly buried, from my toes up to my thighs,
All around, I heard the sound, of yells, and screams, and cries.
.
I stayed there for five minutes, buried in the grass,
Waiting for another cop, to come and save my ass.
Finally my saviour came, and pulled me from the pit,
Then way down low, inside my back, the pain began to hit.
.
The whole tale that I've told above, occurred five months ago,
Now that I am back to work, I thought you'd like to know.
The moral of this story, is one heard near and far,
Either send a quicker, junior man, or chase them in a car.
