Christmas Fudge
.
Santa has been
known to, deliver lots of toys,
Around the
world, to all the good, little girls and boys.
But the rest
of those who misbehave, or offend this jolly soul,
Wake up Christmas
morning with, their stockings full of coal.
.
So the question
I must ask you now, regarding Corporal Fudge,
What did he
do to Santa Claus, to make him hold a grudge?
He was working
down in Gastown, at the Santa Claus parade,
His bike was
sitting nice and clean, beside the barricade.
.
Marching bands
and many floats, the street was sparkling clean,
Clowns and
Christmas characters, helped complete the scene.
Down the street
arose a cheer, for the man all dressed in red,
His float came
into vision then, for the children up ahead.
.
While Steve
made preparations, on his corner of the road,
Santa's float
drew nearer still, a wide and heavy load.
He signalled
for the float to turn, and head down Water Street,
A wide left
turn was needed then, for the parade to be complete.
.
For some unknown
reason, things began to go awry,
Despite Steve's
shouted orders, Mr. Claus did not comply.
There his shiny
Harley sat, directly in the way,
A collision
now was imminent, much to Steve's dismay.
.
The bike went
down quite nicely, it was trampled to the ground,
The crowd went
deathly silent, you could not hear a sound.
Except for
Santa's Ho Ho Ho, as he rode into the night,
And Steve was
yelling afterward, I said turn LEFT, not RIGHT!
