Twin Peeks

While working in the evening, earlier this week,

Rich Akin called the Sergeant, to switch to five and speak.

He said he was not feeling well, could he go home and rest?

Sergeant Hardman thought it over, and granted this request.

A short time passed, and all was well, then enter Corporal Smith,

He came into the office, stating the illness was a myth.

I don't mind, the Corporal said, if the guys take O.T.L.,

And want to go out drinking, in fact I think it's swell.

.

When they take the night off sick, it's there I draw the line,

I just saw Rich Akin, in the club and feeling fine.

Doug Hardman now was angry, he was really seeing red,

He was heading for the P.A.C., to have poor Richard's head.

When the Sergeant got there, much to his dismay,

He was greeted by the sight of, Rich Akin hard at play.

He hollered his displeasure, and demanded Rich explain,

Whether he was really sick, or just had gone insane.

Right now I have some problems, with my total family life,

I may just have to quit here, if I want to keep my wife.

Doug now switched to sympathy, and offered help to Rich,

They headed for the office, so Doug could make his pitch.

.

But when they reached the lobby, much to Doug's surprise,

Stood another Richard Akin, right before his eyes.

Richard one and Richard two, Doug's eyes went side to side,

As Rich stood there in uniform, the other stood beside.

.

Rich and Robert Akin, twin brothers, with a flair,

For causing consternation, and everyone to stare,

It really goes to show you, when you cut it down to size,

Not always, can you trust the things, you see with your two eyes.
