The Great Skid Road Scabbing

CD to all the units, here we go again,

Another Skid Road stabbing, victim in the lane.

Units started going, an ambulance was sent,

Pete Sadler and Mark Wolthers, assigned and quickly went.

Major Crime was on the way, Ident. standing by,

The Sergeant had been notified, Car Ten too, Oh my!

When they got into the lane, amidst the beer and mud,

Toothless Tony standing there, in a pool of blood.

Things were looking serious, blood pouring on the ground,

Tony told his story then, of how he had been found,

"I ish walkin in dish lane eh, lookin for a taxshi cab'",

"Da nex ting I ish bleeding, right dare from dat shcab".

Pete took a closer look then, at the gaping, bleeding wound,

Realized that it was three weeks old, as Tony walked around.

It seems that he got worried, when the bleeding wouldn't stop,

So Tony dialled up 9-1-1, to try and get a cop.

But in his drunken stupor, and since he has no pearly whites,

"Scab" was misinterpreted, which brought all these flashing lights.

The bright side to this story, is someone fixed his sore,

And another bit is added, to the VPD folk lore.

Of the day we all responded, with hastiness and zeal,

To help poor Toothless Tony, and get his sore to heal.

And next time we'll be ready, suspects we'll be nabbing,

If ever we receive a call, like this reported Skid Road Scabbing!
