Logbook

By Ken Rager

Keep a daily record of your thoughts!

This program is FREE!! I do ask you to register it for $5.00, but you don't have too.

Check out these screen shots:
(The actual program screens look better than these shots.)

Desktop Icon

Opening window:
This is the main window.
Here you can create a new logbook, open an existing one,
or view basic information on the program.

Open a logbook:
Opening an already created Logbook is very simple,
just navigate through the folders until you find your logbook,
then double click on it.
Of course you will have to enter your password to gain access.

Create a logbook:
The program takes you through the create process step by step.

Logbook Cover:
After you create or open your logbook, this cover page will allow you
to see how much space the logbook is taking on the disk.
(Very handy if you are keeping your logbook on a floppy disk.)
You can also view, edit, and enter new pages here.
Under Maintenance, you can set up which areas require a password,
change the cover name or the file name, delete the logbook,
move or copy the logbook, or delete the logbook.

Security setup:
Simply check the boxes to require a password
to gain access to certain sections.

Enter a new page into your logbook:
Entering a new page is easy. Also, you can hit the ESCAPE button to
close the window fast and exit from this section.
(Handy if someone walks in while you are typing.
You can always finish the page later under the EDIT function.)

Search function:
Need to find something you entered in the logbook a year ago?
This is fast and easy with the SEARCH function.
Simply type the keyword you are looking for.
All pages containing the word will be displayed.
Page number, date, time, and a partial page will be shown.
Double click on the page you think is the one you are looking for,
the entire page will be displayed.

Viewing a page is very simple.
Here you can print the page, or easily navigate to other pages.

Edit an existing page.
Editing a page is very simple. Simply change existing text, or enter new text.

Move or copy your Logbook.
This section is very easy to use, and very handy if you want to make backups
or copies of your Logbook. Also, if you'd like to move the Logbook
from your hard drive to a floppy or a CD, this section makes it easy.
Simply choose the drive and directory on the right,
then click the "copy to" or the "move to" button.
(Your Logbook must not be so big that it wont fit on a floppy,
or to move or copy to a CD you must be able to write to CD's on your computer.)

Help pages galore:
Each section has a HELP button.
I have tried to make the help pages as simple as I can.

About Logbook:
From the Opening Window, clicking on ABOUT will
give you this basic information.
