8-8-98 My Tori Dream...

So, I've had dreams about Tori before, but this one really pissed me off because everything she said in it made perfect sense, and I knew she is right, but that's not what I wanted to hear.

In the dream Tori came to Conroe, TX to play a show at my old highschool. Since she was using the auditorium my old theatre teacher was in charge of making sure everything was going well, and since he and I were friends, I got to be backstage, and had front row seats. The show was awesome, of course, and she did the Meet and Greet after the show instead of before. I talked to her for a minute, and then they rushed her off. I hung around the auditorium for a while until she came back out to thank all the people that helped her get the whole show together.

That's when I walked up to her and started explaining to her how much the auditorium itself meant to me. When I was in school it was like a sanctuary for me, and no matter what happened in the school I knew I was always safe in the auditorium, and I told her what an honor it was to have her play there. She was really touched, and gave me a hug and started to walk away. Then she turned around and said, "You know I just a revalation." She came back in and we started talking. She told me about the miscarriage and the wedding, and all her insecurites, and then she noticed that I was about to start crying, and asked what was wrong.

I told her all about the situation that I'm in right now, and how I have a lot of options, but the only one that will do the least bit of damage is keep my feelings to myself and just continue to be miserable and lonely. That's when she said, "How is that fair to you? You strike me as the type of person who is always putting other people's happiness before your own. If everyone around you is happy, but you aren't, how is that doing any good? It's time that you put yourself first, and went looking for your own happiness. You deserve it just as much as everyone else."

I was shocked by her advice because it made perfect sense. I hugged her, thanked her, and then she had to go catch a plane so she could make the next show.
