The car was quick on the qualifing night. In heat two of the championship the car was damaged and although still mobile was ordered from the track. Rowlings was awaiting the chequered then he would have crossed for points. The night before the Championship two cars (including Craig Pierce) had waited on the grass and then pulled back onto the track to get their points and were not deemed as finishers because of a technicality. The buzz is that the officials were concerned that Rowlings was going to take out the hot Rot rod of Rodney Woods.
