Star and her bro...

 Star was born in Metropolis, Illinois. Soon,
however, she was down in good ol' sunny Florida. She
grew up with her family, fighting her brother all the way,
and playing with her young mistress, Kat. Unfortunately,
Star was kidnapped by ransom hunters one night. Xander,
showing that he really did love his little sister, took off after
them and, in a fierce fight, rescued his sister. He paid a 
price for it though. He was injured during the fight, and 
a dogcatcher just happened to be around soon after 
(there's Fate for ya), and poor Xander was unable to 
run. He was caught while Star escaped. Star, for some
reason, was unable to find her way back home. She
roamed the streets for a few years until the Master
called her into service. There she found a new family, 
and,eventually, found her brother again. She met her 
best friend Spirit and almost immediately got the hots for 
Blitz. (This varies in diff authors stories. I'm writing this in 
my own style.) Unfortunately for Blitz, Spirit's brother, 
Dimitri, soon joined the ranks of the Rovers and it was 
love-at-first-sniff for both of them. Like every couple though,
they deny it at every turn.
