Wow, this hits home because a lot of my friends have been through this, most of them on the drinking and driving side of the deal. I wish they could read this and perhaps realize what they could do. Too many people think "It's only down the street, I won't hit anyone in that short distance". No matter what you say to them some people just won't listen and they have to learn the hard way. -Joanne
that poem was really awesome. IT was so sad! I think it had good impact, and i agree with you - no one should drink and drive. It is so stupid, and innocent people get hurt. Have a nice day!!! -Christina
I really loved that poem. It really hit home with me. see I have had 2 of my best friends KiLLED because of alcohol. So I no what that poem is saying. -Kyle
That peom is real! It deals with a real serious situation. When I read it it hit me like ton of bricks. I don't drink, but I think this poem should be placed so that people everywhere can see it. Maybe they too will realize the importance of staying sober. -Michael
i loved it! ive heard it several times and still feel tears weeling up in my eyes each time i hear or read it...this poem really makes you think about the affects of alcoholon todays society. -Nikki
I really love that poem. If only poeple understood the pain that drinking and driving can cause. My boyfriend lost his mother to a drunk driver and my boyfriend and best friend both were in an accident caused by a drunk driver, I thank God everyday that they are still alive. Thanks for the poem. I have read that somewhere before. -Winter
Damn good poem. I have had this poem forwarded to me before. I have nothing against alcohol or people who consume it ('cause I do). The only problem I have is that people do not know where to draw the line. They get hammered/sloshed/pissed (I don't care what you call it) and then they go driving. The poem is so true. -Narc
The poem hits home and it should and will make people!!! I just hope it makes the right people think!! -Dr_Love
The poem's not very umm...how should i say this; POETIC but it's got a deep meaning behind it. It's true and it happens. I wish my friends wouldn't drink as well. I don't think it's stupid but it's just that it has really bad effects on them. Down with ALCOHOL!!!! -Rachel
I'm not old enough to drink or drive but I have drank before and I think this poem will help me make the right desisions of doing the right thing in the future. You are right and many innocent people die each year from fatal drinking and driving accidents which I have almost been in and had a friend barly made it through one. I can really relate to this poem and hope others see it this way.Thanx for the eye-opener! LUV: LINS
The poem was so good...It did make me remember when one of my friend got killed in an accident...that did make me cry. Good Job!!! I miss my friend so much. Thanks for letting me view your poem. -Karen
I have already heard this poem before. I agree with your advice completely. Teenagers usually feel insecure, so they decide to drink simply because they think it looks "cool." -Sweet
Great poem. I hope people pay attention to it. -Rick
The poem was really sad! I have heard many versions of it and that one wasn't the saddest. I totally agree with you on people who drink. Good job!! :0 ) bye! -Ava
I loved this poem. I have never been drinking and driving at the same time, and I hope I never will either. You say a lot about a serious topic, which can be very useful for people to read. I can say I woke abit up myself. Eventhough I haven't been drinking for a while I probably will again and this is a reminder for me to not do stupid things that can cause damage on yourself or other people when your drunk. Again, I really liked this poem. Love, Marthe
