A priest once said:

Several years before my ordination , I went through ferocious spiritual battles ( perhaps to reprimand me for my numerous sins ) , and I was advised to ask for the intercession of St. George .But all I did was add another sin to my already numerous ones by defaming this great martyr.

My distress grew atronger , so I went to Pope Kyrillos VI and asked him to pray that God would help and relieve me . To my surprise he told me , " In old Cairo there is a convent of St. George , there , you will find a tube containing the elics of St. George . Embrace these relice and ask for his intercession , and God will rescue you" . Although I did not mention anything about my sin , the Pope wanted me to repent , and in a kind way , he reprimanded me for my sin .

So I went to the convent and did exactly as the Pope told me . I asked St. George's forgivness for what I had said about him and received the blessing of this great saint .

What is left to say is that great martyr. St. George , had indeed helped me , and he did magnificent things for me . Throough his prayers , God made many complicated things possible to me .

I'm thankful to God for his forgivness , and for inviting me to become a priest . I'm also thankfull to Pope Kyrillos who guided me to the right path .
