Daddy Figuring

March 13, 1999

Good News!

My Dad is eating again. When he went to the doctor just a week ago, he weighed 120lbs, and now he weights 132lbs. I can't believe how good God is being to us. Our prayers are being answered every day. I also must say I am very grateful to all the wonderful people who are praying for us and for Daddy to get better.

I will continue to update this page, as it is doing me good to keep this record of my parents health and it never lets me forget my love for them or take advantage of theirs for me.

Mom and me in Hawaii - 1988

This is Mom & Dad in October of 1997.

Both seemed in such good health just that long ago.

>>UPDATE<<<

We lost my Dad May 13, 1999.

It has taken me this long to update my page, and I have also added a guestbook.

Daddy was taken by ambulance to the hospital May 4, 1999 and put into intensive care.

We got them to remove the respirator late that night, because Daddy couldn't talk and hated the thing.

He stayed in the hospital until the 11th, when we had him transferred to the Nancy Hinds Hospice at 4:00 PM.

They are wonderful people there and after the neglect he received at the hospital, it was wonderful to put him in their caring hands.

He only lived another 55 hours.

He was never really concious during that time but at least was in no pain.

Mother and I had him cremated and we have him at home.

We are getting through this the best we can, together.

We miss him terribly.
