Paterson Patterson Patrickson MacPatick
Patterson means the 'son of Patrick'. Farquhar from whom the Farquharson name is taken had a son named Patrick by Margaret Duncanson daughter of Patrick Duncanson of Lude. Patrcik's children took the name of MacPatrick or Patterson to honour their ancestor.
