Here's a friendship that sparked at a computer games marathon. Justin is a guy that up until high school, I never knew existed, and once I met, I thought was a badass and an idiot. Nice, eh? Competition-turned-friendship, Justin and I met while playing 'Jedi Knight' at school during the 24-hour game marathon. As luck would have it, he ended up in my CommTech (Communications Technology) class in grade 12 (he was in grade 11). We sat beside each other and reminisced about the marathon.

As the semester went on, I realized that he and I shared one common love, if you will: computers. Whether it be games, or the latest software, even mp3s, Justin and I always had something to talk about. And much to Mr. Cole's annoyance, we did just that (remember the DX video?). As the semester went on, he excelled at web design, much to my displeasure. (I was the one who "taught" him HTML. Who's eating humble pie now?)

As a person, there's not much people can say about him. At times, he can be a man of few words, though those words are usually vulgar and offensive. Other times, he doesn't know when to shutup. In any event, it's kinda obvious why we got along so well. As a friend, I have to say he understood me, because he went through a lot of the same shit as I did and still do. From parental problems to women problems to just plain ol' depression, he and I had been through it all. And it's because of that that I'm thankful he is my friend.
