"DANCE TO A DIFFERENT DRUM"
by: Kaitlyn Jefferson

Many people think that following the crowd is a safe place to
be...and it is. You don't have to worry about embarrasing yourself
or standing out or being unique. All you have to worry about is
being just like your next-door neighbor.
Hey, GET REAL! Don't you want to be unique? Don't you want to stand
out as a style god or goddess? Don't you want to impress people with
your own sense of wit and charm? I thought so! Well, this is what I
hope you will get from this column; a sense of encouragement,
understanding, and motavation to make your own choices, think your
own ideas, explore yourself.
This month, I want to talk about a simple change you can make. Many
try desperately to keep up with the fashion train that rolls through
like a thunderstorm, it's here one minute, makes a bang, and leaves
the next minute. Women especially, throw away hundreds of dollars
trying to get the latest trendsetting outifits and accessories. Let
me ask you, is it really worth it? I don't think so!
There is a short list circulating around with a list of inexpensive
clothing items that can be worn in many different ways to look stylish
and also have been proven to be stylish throughout trendsetting
moments.
The list is as follows:

Women-a basic long-sleeve white button-down shirt; a pair of simple
black shoes; a pair of comfortable jeans; a basic tank top; silver
jewelry; ponytail holders and make-up that matches your skin tones
and eye color.

Men-a basic long-sleeve white button-down shirt; a pair of comfortable
jeans; a non-elaborate necktie; boxer shorts; and aftershave.

This list has been said to be prooved correct and is helping thousands
spend less money on clothes and still look good and look trendy.

universe. No other beings exist."-Heidi Nicholas

"I think that they do exist. Why should Earth be the only life-
containing planet in all of the universe(s)?-Vince Mahony

"I agree that there are aliens. It's just stupid to beleive that
there aren't creatures on other planets in other galaxies."-Lori Kiss

"Sure there are. Aliens do exist. I've seen an UFO."-Billy Garris

"No way. Absolutely not. There is no such thing as an alien. People
are getting too wrapped up in Hollywood's imagination."-Carrie Martin

"Yeah, right. Aliens are a figment of the imagination. Just like
mermaids, unicorns, and honest politicians."-Joey Parker
