Now, don't get me wrong. I'm into fashion. But sometimes, if a fad becomes over-used (as in, everyone and their sister does it), it will irk me.
First of all, there's the clam-digger pants (shown below).
I mean, they're cute--but not on everyone. Also, it really bothers me when someone wears them with a 3/4 sleeve shirt. It just looks like their clothes shrunk in the wash to me. I do, however, like the 3/4 sleeve shirts. My favorite shirts would have to be the 1 and 1/8 length shirts, though.
Also, butterflies and dragonflies are everywhere!! At first, I really liked them. But after a while, I began to see them everywhere! On shoes, shorts, necklaces, infesting people's hair even! OH NO!! THEY'RE IN MY EYES! THEY'RE CRAWLING AROUND IN MY EYES!!!!
Sorry about that. I apologize.
This is what I meant by rambling. Anyway...
Yellow. It's a nice color. It's a cheerful color. Has anyone noticed that everyone's wearing yellow? Not just yellow, though. There's butter, daffodil, sunshine, and lemon too. Before if someone wore a yellow shirt, they would stand out in a crowd. Not these days. I wonder how a color comes to be fashionable. Maybe it starts by a person just wearing a lot of the color. I think I'll purchase a new wardrobe in....turqoise!
I guess my main problem is that I strive to be original. I try not to buy into fads. It's really hard too! And I'm not saying that if you follow fads you're shallow. In fact, you're very observant. But it's always good to be yourself. You can't let society make you feel you have to conform. Wear what you like and what you feel comfortable in. Not what the magazines say is absolutely "hip". Just be yourself.
That's it for now. Don't worry guys, this page won't always be about fashion. I plan to talk about politics, the entertainment industry, and life in general. So even if you didn't find this insightful, come back and give me another chance. This was just my first commentary, and I had all of that bottled up for a long time!! It'll be good. I know it will.
