Leon McNichol
Leon McNichol is quite possibly the one major reason the AD. Police have not entirely lost face with the public. He is brave, intelligent, and ready to face the threats that his comrades run from. Leon is a skilled operator of large mecha such as the K-11 and K-12 A.T.s. Being one of the few AD. Policemen willing to risk his life up against someone like Colonel Lando, Leon should be getting respect from his superiors. However, such is not the case. Indeed, more often than not Leon's superiors argue with him over motives, hunches, tactics, and just about everything else in order to keep him from stepping on the wrong toes.
With even a limited knowledge of Cyberdroids and their workings, Leon is able to counter their attacks effectively. His abilities are amazing, both in and out of combat. Another amazing fact is that for all the times Leon defied direct orders, he hasn't not been faced with expulsion from the AD. Police Force.
Aside from battling the Cyberdroids, Leon's most obvious pursuit is that of a romantic relationship with Priss Asagiri. He felt so much so deeply for her that he risked his life going to Genom Tower where he saved Sylia Stingray from Largo's cannon. For this alone, let alone with all other things combined, Leon is one of the most important characters from the series.
