My name is Lorena. I love cows. I also like praising God, star wars(all 4), writing, surfing, working on my mustang, sleeping, playing softball, being spontaneous, talking to people, and meeting new people!
My good friends are Katie, Blake, Nick, Jess, Chris, Crystal, Pat, all my cool new friends from summer school, and my new friends from Mountain TOP. Check out some of their pics below.

So, what'd you do this summer?
Amoung other things, I went to Moutain T.O.P. (Tennessee Outreach Program) on a mission trip with my church. It rocked! Moutain T.O.P(Mtn Top) is kinda like a camp, actually it is a camp-it's a work camp. It's about 7 days long and you stay at the camp in cabins. No airconditioning(you get used to it really quick-especially this summer w/ 102 degrees days and 78 degrees nights). It's located in central TN and for most of the day you go out to different parts of the surrounding counties with your YRG(Youth Renewal Group-a group of about 5-6 people of all dif. ages, experiences, churches, and genders) and do a project for a person or family in the county. It's really fun because you don't just go out and do the project then leave, you visit with the people you're working for. My YRG built a porch for a lady named Mrs. Marquette and while half the group was working on the porch the other half was inside watching soaps and talking to Mrs. Marquette. And then this other lady we painted a patio for named Mrs. Jacobs cooked us dinner(which was a heavenly feast compared to the Mtn Top food! hehe) and we talked to her then, she was FULL of interesting stories! In the evenings you eat dinner at Mtn Top and then they have activities for the rest of the night. Usually you eat, have communtiy sharing (where you share stories from the day), free time, worship, free time, bed prep, and then lights out. It was fun fun fun! If you wanna go I encourage you to talk to your youth pastor about it or if you dont go to church find a friend who does and tell them to talk to their youth pastor about it! It's SO MUCH FUN!
