System for conversion of sea wave energy

System for conversion of sea wave energy - A system for the conversion of sea wave energy including a breakwater structure including a wave energy collector integrally formed within the breakwater structure. The energy collector collects and directs oncoming waves to an upwardly extending duct having hydraulic oil separated from seawater by a membrane for converting the wave energy into oil pressure. The wave energy collector incorporates a plurality of control valves which are electronically coupled through a computerized control system which regulate the control valves so that the optimum wave pressure is collected and transferred to the hydraulic oil. A piping system conducts the pressurized hydraulic oil to a pressure tank which is connected to a hydraulic motor which is mechanically coupled to an electric generator. The system may be combined with a solar distillation apparatus. View Images (9 pages) here!

Patents of CFM-Motor (Hong Kong, China)

Patents of CFM-Motor - We are a mechanical engineering company. Our business includes designing and producing equipment and the spare parts to supply the construction mechanism market in Hong Kong and its adjacent areas. Supported by the Hong Kong Industry Technology Centre Corp. Ltd., since 1997, we have been researching the Concatenated Magnetic Fields Motor (CMF-Motor) based on an invention of our managing director, Mr. Law, Mingyuen. This invention is a new type of variable speed AC induction motor. At least, it has below advantages. First, this motor can change its speed with a higher efficiency. The working characteristics of this motor rely on its different ways for using. when its two rotors are driving one load at same time, the motor performs as having a two-speed automatic gear box, although in fact there is no any automatic control system. When these two rotors are independently driving two different loads, for example, each of them is driving respective impellers in a pump; the motor performs as a continuously variable speed motor. Second, this type of motors, as driving units, can obviously improve the performs of many machines, which need to change its load and speed greatly when working. In some cases this CMF-Motor even can substitute for more expensive implements which are currently used for adjusting the motor speed, such as the DC motor or the AC motor with an frequency-variable power supply. The CMF Motor is especially suitable for driving the fluid mechanism, e.g., water pump, high-pressure pump, vacuum pump, compressor pump, air-condition system, hydraulic system, etc. Third, the CMF motor is also to be started easy with greatly reduced current while keeping a powerful starting torque. Fourth, having the above stated advantages, this type of motor is still as simple and reliable as the normal squirrel-cage AC motors. Its structure is similar as normal induction motor, except it has two squirrel-cage rotors. This invention has brought new idea to designation of driving units in many machines. It is doubtless that many new products will be developed and a revolution will be caused in relevant machinery. Our first prototype was exhibited on the Chinese International Invention Expo*98 (Hong Kong) in November 1998 and was awarded a silver prize. Patents for this invention has been granted in USA. (No.5708314), Australia (No.76549), Tai Wan (Inv. No.071988) and the Main Land (ZL94191749.5) of China. The patent applications are under official examination in France, UK. Germany and Japan. We are seeking for investment to develop this new technology. Varies ways to put this invention into industry use are welcome. Presently, we are willing to assign the patents in Taiwan, Australia, Germany, France and UK. or issue license in any country and area where we have patents. Toxicity screen for water and other types of biological samples

Patent of Detection of cytotoxic agents using tetramitus rostratus - I would like to introduce myself. I am the director, founder, president and sole employee of Environmental Toxicology Laboratory. ETL is a small research, development and testing laboratory, concentrating its efforts on new approaches to toxicity testing. ETL has developed and patented a simple, rapid and inexpensive toxicity screen for water and other types of biological samples. This test, the Tetramitus Assay, has significant advantages over other bioassays, most importantly true whole particle toxicity testing. The potential uses of the test run the spectrum from chemical, pharmaceutical and consumer product testing to water, soil, food and air analysis. The basic science of this test has been published in the journal Toxicology and Industrial Health (Jaffe, R.L., Rapid assay of cytotoxicity using Tetramitus flagellates, Toxicology and Industrial Health; Vol. 11, No. 5, pp.543-558, 1995.) Additional information can be found on ETL's web site at http://www.envirolab.com. I write to you because I am truly interested in speaking with those who may have an interest in learning more about this new test and its potential applications. As a one person show, I would be more than happy to discuss a collaboration on the further development and continuing validation of this technology. Any advice on how to proceed as this technology grows would be greatly appreciated. If this message has reached you by mistake, I apologize. If you feel that others may have an interest in this, please pass it on. Do not hesitate to contact me if I can provide more information. Thank you.
