SU wins another one in OT, on the Road

Syracuse won their 4th straight game as Cipolla, Hill , and Burgan once again came through for the Orangemen. The Orange outscored Providence 16-7 in Overtime improving their record to 18-10 overall and 9-8 in the Big East.

SU held a 73-70 lead late in the Game when PG God Shammgod hit a 3 from the top of the arc to tie things up. Todd Burgan had a chance to win it but his shot went in and out sending the Game to OT.

In the extra session Syracuse would blow the game open scoring the 1st 6pts of the Overtime period.

With 1 Game left in the regular season and the Big East Tournament a couple days away, Syracuse is still questionable of making the NCAA Tournament.

Jim Boeheim win his 500th as SU runs away in the 2nd

Following a tightly contested 1st Half Syracuse blew the Game open in the Second as Jason Cipolla and Marius Janulis hit from behind the arc and Otis Hill drained the shots in the paint. Freshman Point Guard Jason Hart created open shots for Cipolla and Janulis and had 5 steals on the Defensive end.

Janulis opened the 2nd Half with back-to-back 3's igniting a half that belonged to the Orange. Cipolla followed with treys of his own in a game that saw SU lead by as many as 35.

One bright spot for the Scarlet Knights was Terry Mills who hit six 3's in the 30 Point Blowout. In the 1st Half Rutgers had a 13-9 lead but Syracuse came back with a 11-0 run to take a 20-13 advantage. Todd Burgan helped out in the burst as the Orange never relinqushied their lead from that moment on.

Following the Game Jim Boeheim recieved a plaque for winning his 500th at Syracuse. Boeheim has the 5th best winning percentage among active Coaches.

Syracuse improves their Record to 17-10 and 8-8 in the Big East with 2 Games Remaining.
