This poem is dedicated to everyone who is making a positive

change amidst negative forces.

"Yeah I've heard all about it, how I am supposed to be fake

because I've made a few changes . I ain't trippin!

Hasn't anybody ever told you a little change is good?

Hey, you do what you have to and I'll do what I have to".

U used to be my main man

we used to have the same plans

now something has changed my view

something has gone eschew,

be it me,

or be it u

I'm not knockin' how you live or what you got going on

Who am I to judge if your living right or wrong,

all I know is...

I've got a reason to wake up every morning

I've got a reason to smile when the sky is falling

I've got a reason to have some hope

I've got a reason to do more than cope.

I guess as the years went on; so did I

we used to drown our miseries in alcohol,

but now I just dry my eyes

some call me wise

Still, I didn't change for no one else

I found dignity inside myself

Now I accept only what I select

avoid actions that would disrespect.

I can't control u, but I can suggest a release,

do what you have to, find some peace

I'm not looking 4 u to clap or even agree,

the only acceptance I need is inside of me.

I just decided I need more ups, so I won't be around
