WORK HISTORY
09/28/97 to Present
Communications Officer for the Presque Isle Police Department. Duties include handling all Police telephone and radio traffic, all emergency Fire Department radio and telephone traffic, keeping log of all radio traffic during shift, entering all complaints into computer database during shift, observation and processing of prisoners as needed, and acting as a first line of contact between the public and the police department in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

11/21/94 to 4/4/97
Children's Services Caseworker for the Maine Department of Human Services. Duties include locating foster home placements and placing children in those homes as needed, case management and supervision, facilitation of services for children in care, investigation of reported abuse, and ensuring for the general well-being of children in the custody of the State of Maine. This position also involved preparation of legal documents, testifying in court, reading, interpreting, and understanding child welfare statutes and working closely with attorneys. As an experienced caseworker, I participated in a new Quality Assurance initiative which critiqued departmental practices and procedure at the local level and made observations and recommendations to Central Office.

5/20/93 to 11/20/94
Work as a Farm Laborer for Clover Leaf Farms in Presque Isle, Maine. Duties include operation of various types of farm machinery, rough carpentry, electrical work, and a multitude of tasks involving manual, physical labor. This job is seasonal, with work starting in May with the planting of the crops and ends in late October or early November after the crops have been harvested.

3/15/94 to 5/9/94
Work as a Farm Laborer for Ireland Farms in Presque Isle, Maine. Duties included grading, bagging, and piling potatoes, preparing them for transportation to market. This job was an on-call as needed, temporary position.

10/28/93 to 2/2/94
Work as a Security Guard for D&S Security in Presque Isle, Maine. Duties included grounds and buildings security checks for unauthorized personnel, unsecured doors and windows, fire, and other hazards during the after business hours at a local business. This job was a full time, temporary position.

Work as A Farm Laborer for Clover Leaf Farms in Presque Isle, Maine.

1/15/91 to 5/10/91
Student Internship at Presque Isle Police Department, Presque Isle, Maine. Duties included assisting dispatcher in dispatch center answering telephone and communicating with patrol officers via two way radio and riding with patrol officers to observe practices and procedures used in everyday law enforcement.
