Here are my new Sculptures, Summer 2004. I hopw to produce more over the course of the summer, having them become more detailed and intricate. I want to push myself to the limit of my talents to produce sculptures that outdo the one before it. The first one I did for class was a monkey guy. I don't know what else to call him, he currently has no name. I will put up the original concept for him, in both this section and my Concept Art section as well. Next is also from a concept drawing I did, though he chaged somewhat from the original. I was Final Fantasy-inspired for the drawing, but in sculpture he turned out to look more like a Pirate, so I added and eye patch and went along with it. He is also nameless for the time being. Here is my Wolf Lycanthrope, or Werewolf if you will. I don't really have an concept art for this next piece. Just a little bit of reference work. I wanted a more dynamic pose and work with more texturing. He is somewhat inspired by Van Helsing's werewolf, what with the shreds of skin he ripped from himself to transform. My most recent work I wanted to experiment with coloring my Sculpy. I did a "Maneki Kitsune" or Good Luck Fox. I collect maneki neko figures, so I'm doing a play on them with a fox. In the works are small versions, including the fox, tanuki, rabbit, and cat, and I will be making figurines and selling them, as well as "Maneki Anime" figures. They will develop over the summer.

These following sculpy are from Summer 2003, my first time working with sculpy and learning about it (armiture, etc). My first one I did was Freya from Final Fantasy 9. As it was my first time working with sculpy, I wanted to do something familiar, and something that had a source I could look at while making it. I then did a Gryphon, one of my favorite mythological creatures of lore. I took some creative liberty of the wings and had them look like they were another set of appendages, sort of like bat wings. I used a Pteradactyl I saw on Discovery channel for inspiratiom of how it would use its wings (when it walked, etc). Next I did a Japanese Tanuki statue. I wanted it to have sort of look of a statue that you could display outside (hence the stony, textured look of it). This is an unfinished 9-tailed Kitsune (Japanese Fox). Don't know why I never finished it...
