"And that's a wrap!" said Jeff Mitchell, manager of the teen group "The Rainbow Angels." "Oh, wow, you mean we're done?" asked Madeline Smith, lead singer and guitarist. "Yep." Jeff confirmed. "YESSSS" screamed the entire band.
The Angels (which consisted of: Sara Davis, who was about 5'8" had red hair, was 16 years old and played the drums, Madeline Smith, who was 5'6" had long blonde hair, was 14 and played guitar and sang lead vocals, and last but definitely not least was Jade "Angel" Correla, a bouncy 11 year old with long dark brown corkscrew curls, who was 4'9") had been recording their album "Waves," for the past 4 hours.
Their first single "Please don't forget my love" had been released for air-play just 3 days ago, and the girls still hadn't heard it. While they were packing up, Jade asked "Jeffie, (her nickname for him) do you know when our song is gonna play?" Jeff smiled down at her "Nope, I don't have any power over radio play Jade." "Okay." The disappointed Jade replied. While they were packing up their stuff, Jeff was telling them about the band he was recording with in a few minutes, and asked if they wanted to stick around. Madeline reminded him that they were supposed to meet her parents at the hotel.
When Sara pulled the rental jeep out of the lot, Jade reached up and turned on the radio, the familiar sounds of "Where's the Love" came out of the speakers. "YESSS" shouted Jade, as she turned up the volume. All three girls started singing along to the sounds of their favorite band.
After the song was over the DJ came on "And that was HANSON!! And now here is another teen band.. only this one is made up of girls.. its the Rainbow Angels.. with "Please don't forget my love"…. After he said this, and the sounds of Sara's drumming came on, all three girls shared a glance that lasted half a second before Sara pulled a tight U-turn and sped back to the studio, while Madeline and Jade screamed their lungs out.
Madeline and the other two raced through the front doors and down the hall to where Jeff had been and saw him looking in on a band playing a familiar song, but Madeline paid no attention and ran in, followed by her band-mates.
They all started talking at once, and Jeff couldn't understand a word. So he finally just said "GUYS!.. er GIRLS!"
An almost silence fell as Jade and Madeline giggled over Jeff's mess-up, he spoke into the mike saying "OK, guys why don't u come in here for a sec and see if you can help me calm down these girls."
Jade looked into the recording part of the studio to see who the 'guys' were, when she saw who was getting ready to leave, her heart skipped a beat and she said in a half-whisper half-scream "Oh my God." "What, what!???" asked Madeline and Sara anxiously.
