Ok, baseball is one of my favorite sports, and we all know that the
Seattle Mariners are THE BEST! Go M's!! With this season heading
into the final 3 months like a bat out of hell, all of our favorite
teams are scrambling to do what they can to get into contention, stay
in contention, or win, the penant race. The Mariners did it for the
first time back in '95, and having experienced Game 5 of the Divisional
Playoffs in the Kingdome vs. The New York Yankees, I must say what a
rush that is! And Dave Niehaus said it best when he said "What a ride
this has been." That it was, and very magical at that. Anyway, the
Mariners are looking to do it again this year, and have already added
some new faces to the team, in pitchers Heathcliff Slocumb (Boston),
Mike Timlin (Toronto), and Spoljarik (also Toronto). I know they can do
it, so watch out AL West! *grin*
