An angel from above

You came to me when I had no hope
Your smile lighting up my dark day.
You knew I was sad and told me a joke
And made me laugh once again.
From that night on whenever I became blue
I knew that you were not far away
I could turn on my computer and there you would be
Just waiting to hear about my day.
To some it seems odd to form such a bond
With those whom you may never meet
But friendships are not only made face to face
But by finding the kindness inside someone sweet.
You never know where a good friend might be
Just as I found you when my life seemed so blue
God chose that night to send down an angel to me
And that angel on earth was you.
