THE DUCK GALLERY

Hey, what's a Duck Pond without ducks? Here, for the first time, is the debut of my duck collection! I hadn't realized I'd accumulated so many over the past 5 1/2 years. Bear with me folks as I take you thru The Duck Pond Gallery of Ducks...and yes, they all have names!

This is Jethro. I gave Jethro to Derek for Easter about three years ago. He is Derek's favourite and is always getting into mischief...my only question is who gets into mischief more out of the two of them?

This is Clarence, Jethro's best friend and my favourite. I gave him to Derek for Easter about four years ago. Found him in White Rose, a craft store - what craft exactly was he intended for?

This is big, fuzzy Drake. Derek gave him to me the first year we met so I have a special fondness for him. You want to know how romantic Derek is? He went to a craft store and bought a ribbon adorned with red roses (my favourite) to tie around Drake's neck, and sprayed him with his Polo cologne.

This is Dexter. Derek gave Dexter to me in October of the first year we met. I had just lost my job and he thought it would cheer me up. You know what, it worked!

Virgil was given to me in 1998 for my birthday. You press his belly and his cheeks light up as he quacks out Easter Parade! Huggable and entertaining, too!

Poor Marvin, I named him after Marvin in Pulp Fiction! He was given to me by my friend, Tim, and I think he's beautiful! He's the most authentic stuffed drake I've ever seen!

Tim gave me Jake, too, this year for my birthday! He's a Beanie baby but I wouldn't trade him for the world!

Diana was given to me in 1998 for my birthday and is named after the little girl who gave her to me! Another one whose belly you squeeze and she plays Easter Parade. I think she's adorable!

Named this one Penny because that's basically what she cost. I think she was meant to be a dog toy but the little tuft of white hair got me! I'm such a sucker!

This is the latest duck I've added to my collection! Derek gave me Colin for my birthday this year and he's just about the cutest stuffed duck I've ever seen!

So, if you're ever stumped as to what to get me for a gift (be it Christmas, my birthday, whatever the occasion) remember, I'll always be happy to receive a stuffed duck! I didn't purposely set out to collect ducks but now that I see what I have, I might start collecting more!
