Pulsating light
Sliding sands
Sifting through
Desperate hands
Blinding sun
Mystic moon
Eerie nights
Deep in June
Glittering stars
Twinkling sky
Dusty winds
Wistful cry
Crashing waves
Lapping shore
Ebbing tide
Sea-gulls soar
Coloured leaves
Painted ground
Drifting seeds
Silent sound
Quaking land
Floating seas
Winding rivers
Majestic trees
Natural wonders
Wondrous earth
Gift from God
World rebirth
NATURE'S WEDDING
I long to be united with the universe,
Wed with nature,
Canopy of trees, protecting me
As I stroll down an alley of grass.
The sun is my gift,
Warming me
As I make my way.
Bird songs, my orchestra
Carrying my heart,
Adrift upon a forest breeze.
Petals of every coloured rose
Strewn across my path,
This, what inspires me.
The river serves as my journey,
Once the union is complete,
Taking me to new lands
Where the adventure begins,
Summer winds,
Autumn leaves,
Winter storms,
Fresh scent of Spring,
As my life with nature
Continues...
AUTUMN LEAVES
The scent of autumn leaves surrounds me now
As I walk along the path.
October is here!
A time of colour and vivid sky,
A time of crisp, cool air and
Sunsets like fire.
Change is ever-so-apparent,
Subtle, yet sad,
As summer drifts away and
Winter spreads its crystal white wings,
Waiting restless on the horizon.
I find myself wistful
As I wave farewell to the geese,
Their necks extended southward,
As I watch endless flocks of birds
Gather in tree branches,
As I watch bushy, busy tails
Rustling through the leaves.
Something is ending,
Something more than
Heat waves rising over pavement,
Something more than music on sandy beaches,
Something more than greenery and floral display.
Then I hear the crunch beneath my feet,
I see the spreading shadows,
The ducks in the river.
I hear the wind whispering,
Fresh upon my skin as I come to realize
There is no ending, only beginning
For October is here!
The scent of autumn leaves surrounds me...
NATURE COMES TO ME
Crystal waterfalls,
Over rocks cascading,
Close to the shore,
Where a crane is wading,
Water splashes into a bubbling stream,
Where I walk inside a peaceful dream.
Misty fog,
Drifts onto land,
Over my head,
Then, touches my hand.
Turning to see if something is there,
I encounter a beauty so very rare.
Sea-gulls soar,
Angelically pure,
Songbirds fill the air,
Brilliant and sure.
I hear the music of a distant dove,
Peace enhanced by gentle love.
Roses bloom,
Ablaze like fire,
Nature fills my heart,
Which sails ever higher.
Walking along a flowered hill,
I breathe in air, fragrant and still.
Fleecy clouds,
They float across the blue,
Like ships upon the sea,
Aqua and true.
Brilliant sun, aglow and high,
A glorious diamond in the sky.
Cooling breezes blow,
Sweeter in scent,
Leaves meander
From branches bent.
Carefully, I climb a swaying tree;
It is there where nature comes to me.
