At 11:21 A.M., on April 20th, 1999 students Dylan Klebold, 17, and Eric Harris, 18, entered Columbine High School of Littleton, Colorado with guns and bombs and began what would become the worst school shooting in US history.
When it was all over there were 20 injured and 15 dead, including one teacher and the two attackers who committed suicide at the end of their rampage.
It has been said that Dylan and Eric had originally planned to go into the school, kill as many as possible, then do the same in the local area and finally hijack a plane and crash it into a major city like New York.
Once the two realized they wouldn't escape from the school with out being captured, they killed themselves.

It may have been a tragic event, but I praise God that it wasn't any worse than it was.
I attend Arizona State University and it was stated that Dylan Klebold was planning to attend either Arizona State Unversity or University Of Arizona after he graduated Columbine High.
If he had waited to fulfill his plans until he attended college, the casualties could have been much worse, possibly in the 1000s, just because of how densely populated these two universities and their surrounding areas are.

Many of the student who were killed were Christian, most notably Rachel Scott and Cassie Bernall, who stood up for their FAITH and were killed for it.
This also hits home. How long will it be before the rest of us will be persecuted because of our FAITH? That time may be just around the corner, only God knows for sure.
But we have this promise, Christ said "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.(Matthew 5:10-12, NKJV)" With this in mind we can be sure that Rachel, Cassie and the other Christians slain have special place in heaven.
This tragedy has hit everyone, including those of high stature, like Vice President Al and Tipper Gore, and those over seas, like Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson.

This is not the way to unite humanity, pray that this will not happen any more.
