"Debonair" is one of those songs that worked it's way into my head via 107.9 The End, a cleveland radio station. It joins the ranks of NIN's "Down In It" (before I and the rest of the world knew who NIN was) and Course of Empire's "Infested". The song was rarely played on the End, but it stuck quite firmly in my head, with it's heavy guitar sound and excellent lyrics. I obsessed over this song, hearing it in my head at least once every week or two, though I might go several months between actual listenings. My senior year in high school, I found the cd (Gentlemen) at a party amongst the host's collection. I slapped it on, and hilarity ensued.
From then on, Gentlemen was the album of fucked-up party happenings. Eventually, I got my own copy from the 'Hatter (Madhatter Records here in BG), and now the song and album simply kick ass, having lost the mystical quality they once possessed. Stil, I can put on "Debonair" any time I want now, and just remember...
