Conner Prairie Civil War Weekend 2007
Conner Prairie, one of the nation's leading Living History Museums, will host a
Civil War Re-enactment May 19 and 20, 2007.
The museum is open to the public from 9:30am to 5pm on Saturday, May 19 and 11am
to 5pm on Sunday, May 20.
Civil War events will be scheduled throughout the day. The program will include
infantry, cavalry and artillery demonstrations and drills. There will be a
battle re-enactment both days. Fritz Klein is scheduled to appear as Abraham
Lincoln and Storyteller's Drum, Inc will present programs about daily life in
the 28th USCT. Other program are currently being added to the schedule and
information will be posted to the Conner Prairie website as it becomes
available.
Check in will begin at 10am on Friday, May 18. On this date, we also plan to
offer a program for school children.
Conner Prairie places a great deal of emphasis on the guest's experience. We
highly encourage interaction between the re-enactor and museum guest.
Each registered re-enactor wil receive a ticket good for $5 in food at the
Conner Prairie food tent. The tent will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner
on Saturday. It will also be open for breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
No modern camping is available on site.

January 1, 2007. Participants will be able to register online at
