After a hearty meal of beef stew, crusty bread, ale, and sweetly spicy apple pastry, you spend the rest of the evening curled in front of the warm fireplace, feeling the warmth of the Inn swirl around you. As the night goes on, the Inn slowly empties, until only those who are spending the night or are employed at the Inn are left. You yawn and decide it's time to hit the sack.

One of the barmaids picks up a lamp and leads you through a large doorway towards a staircase. You follow her down the hall to a small but comfortable room with a window. A single twin-sized bed with clean cotton sheets and a cheery patchwork quilt stands next to a bedside table with a candle and a vase of flowers. A chair stands in the corner next to a washstand with a plain but good quality porcelain bowl and pitcher filled with cold water. The barmaid asks if you require anything more. You shake your head, and she leaves quietly.

You quickly ready yourself for bed and sink gratefully into the soft bed. There is barely enough time for you to blow out the candle and pull the covers over yourself before you fall into a deep sleep.

In the morning, you awaken to the sound of birdsong, refreshed from your comfortable night of sleep. You dress and pack your things, then head downstairs for a breakfast of buckwheat pancakes smothered in golden syrup, scrambled eggs, thick sausage, and fruit juice. After bidding farewell to the Inn's occupants, you go on your way.
