Tuesday 13th June - Day 1

Today we board our coach at our London meeting place where you are be greeted with a glass of champagne to start your holiday. Our journey takes us to the Channel Tunnel for our crossing to Calais, where we continue to Le Havre where we have our hotel check in and a welcome drink. Dinner and our overnight stay.

Wednesday 14th June - Day 2

Today after breakfast we board our coach and drive the panoramic road to the beautiful port of Honfleur. Then on across the famous Tancarville Normandy bridges to Fécamp to visit le palais Bénédictine to taste a wide choice of liqueurs. We then continue along the road to Coquainvilliers for our visit to mouilin de la foulonnerie to discover the secrets of making Calvados before returning to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Thursday 15th June ­ day 3

After breakfast we depart Le Havre for Le Pays D'Auge where we visit Cabremer a cheese dairy to see the various stages of making Camembertwith chance to taste some before we leave. Then on to Le Mt St Michel for a tasting of Normandy Apple cider before continuing on through Cancale, famous for its oysters and Dinard to an elegant seaside resort for our dinner and overnight stay. Friday 16th June ­ Day 4

After breakfast our route takes us along side the River Loire via Angers with its 13th Century castle then on to Chinon where we stop for a tasting of goats cheese and wines from the famous Loire Valley. We then continue on to Rablaiseien where we have dinner in a spectacular troglodytic cave. After a full day of touring we check into our for an overnight stay.

Saturday 17th June ­ Day 5

After breakfast we drive south to Cognac country where we view the processes of making Hennessy Cognac before making our way to Bordeaux for our dinner and overnight stay.

Sunday 18th June ­ Day 6

After breakfast we depart Bordeaux stopping on the way at St Emilion at the Montbazilliac vineyard to sample some of the wines of this area before continuing on to Toulouse for our overnight stay and dinner

Monday 19th June ­ Day 7

Today we drive to Carcassonne a picturesque medieval town and on to Montpellier which is the commercial centre of the south of France for our dinner and overnight stay.

Tuesday 20th June ­ Day 8

Today we drive through La Provence and Nimes passing the Roman aqueduct of the pont du Gard. Continuing on to Avignon to Chateauneuf Du Pape to sample the local Cote du Rhone wine. Then on to our hotel for Provençale Dinner and overnight stay.

Wednesday 21st June ­ Day 9

Today we follow the Rhone valley north through Lyon to Beaune, the centre of the Burgundian wine trade. We drive through the Cote d' Or passing such famous villages at Nuits St Georges, Chambertin and Montrachet and stop at Corgoloin dijon the former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy known for its gastronomy, especially mustard. Following a full day of touring it is on to our hotel for our Burgundy, dinner and overnight stay.

Thursday 22nd June ­ Day 10

This morning we drive through the beautiful countryside of Champagne to Reims, viewing the coronation cathedral of the French kings. We stop for a tasting of Champagne before continuing on to Paris for our dinner and overnight stay.

Friday 23rd June ­ Day 11

Today we have a guided tour of Paris, visiting Les Champs Elysées, Concorde, Trocadero and Notre Dame. The is ample free time this afternoon for independent activities, optional touring or to go shopping. We have our farewell dinner with induction ceremony in a famous wine cellar before returning to our hotel for our overnight stay.

Saturday 24th June ­ Day 12

After breakfast board our coach for our return journey through the Channel Tunnel back to London.

Included in the cost:
