Grand Lord Angroval.....................................................180 points
Some twenty years ago, there existed in south-east Bretonnia a semi-independent land, divided in two counties by the river Brienne. These two counties were Delle, whose banner depicted a Green Serpent, and Esmar, whose armies marched under the banners of the Silver Sword. It is said that an ancient enmity was poisoning that fair land, for both counties wanted to see a noble of their own blood seating on the throne of the Grand Lord, ruling the land in the name of the King of Bretonia. But alas, the last Grand Lord had died three generations ago, when his castle had been torn asunder by the foul machines that the ratmen had brought from the south. And with him had died his line, that had lasted from the age of Gilles le Breton, when the Baron of Esmar had married the countess of Delle.
For three generations the two counties opposed each other, and twice they would have marched to war, was it not for the efforts of the King himself. But even the King could not hold the swelling hatred forever, for the matter had become one of honour, and it would soon have to be settled with the just judgement of arms.
At that time a young noble walked from the castles of Esmar. His name was Angroval, a Knight Errant, and he spoke of peace. He spoke of the honour that lies in wisdom and not the one that lurks in pride, for the first is a virtue and the second is a curse. And though the man was still young, where he walked people followed, inspired by his authority and his greatness. But when the news reached the Knight Lords of the two counties, they both declared that it is the Lady's will for matters of honour to be settled in the battlefield. 'Go forth and bring us a token that the Lady desires peace above honour, and we will sheath our swords'. And Angroval thus headed east and began his quest, carrying with him the hopes of all people in the land, for they too desired peace and were grim to fight their brothers. And by his side rode Khastra, a rugged Grail Knight sworn to Angroval's father before his death, to always serve and protect the young noble for all life.
The years passed and Angroval was soon forgotten. The Lord's seat was empty and the Knight Lords decided that the time had come to let the swords saw the next Grand Lord. Fate however had yet to lay the last card on the table, that had now become the field of battle. As the two armies deployed near the river Brienne, the foul Skaven were invading the land from the south, the twisted warlocks that led them having foreseen the tragic event that was about to take place. The Knight Lords failed to see their doom. They decided to proceed with their battle, for two armies could not fight the enemy individually, and one unified army could not be fielded unless commanded by the Grand Lord. But as they grimly took positions in the field, a great horn sounded from the east, and two white horses galloped wildly between the two armies, carrying stern Khastra, and Angroval bearing the grail on his shield. And as he stood there between the full forces arrayed, the wind blew on his dark hair and his voice was shrill and clear. 'Sons of Delesmar', he cried, and Khastra uncovered the Lady's token, the banner that he was carrying, and Lo!, it was shining with a bright light, on the Green Serpent of Delle coiled around the Silver Sword of Esmar. And the Knight Lords were the first to cry the name of Angroval, their Grand Lord that carried the will of the Lady of the lake. And that day the armies of Delesmar crushed the ratmen and in the feast that followed, Angroval stepped on the throne. And today still rules Angroval from Esmar, though the lords in Delle are not bitter, for by his side sits his wife, daughter of the first house of Delle, and the old line, in them, is restored.
Angroval can be fielded only instead of the normal Bretonnian general. In that case, the army becomes the 'Army of Delesmar' and can also field the 'Foot Knights of Delesmar'.

people, and never for himself. He must always issue a challenge
and is always obliged to accept one. When fighting challenges, he
gains +1 to hit and +1 S.
IMPORTANT: I don't have the Bretonian Armies book and I haven't read it either, so my apologies in advance for any background conflicts with the 'real' Bretonnians, and most importantly the certainly inaccurate points costs...
