Your army may include Konrad as the general but he has not have to be.
While Vlad Von Carstein was the first and Mannfred was the most cunning, Konrad was the most brutal. He is remembered by the people of Sylvania (and the Empire) as a blood-mad butcher. He was completely mad. For his pleasure he had once ordered every cat in his domain to be used as sport by his crossbowmen. On at least two occasions he had peasant villages put to the torch because he didn't like their smell. He tried his mother for the crime of giving birth to him without his consent and the had her bricked up in her own tower. Acquiring the power and longevity of one of the Undead did nothing to strengthen his already shaky grasp on reality. His regin of terror lasted nearly a century and caused his name to be used to frighten children to this very day. Konrad lacked the skill of Necromancy and often brought a low skilled Necromancer with him on the battle field. Konrad was finaly defeated at the battle at Grim Moor, where the Dwarf hero Grufbad held Konrad down while Prince Helmar impaled Konrad on his Runefang. But after the battle it was proven that Konrad was not stupid, he had heard that the thief Felix Mann had stolen Vlad's ring and he tracked Felix down and cut off his head. In later battles he used this ring, as he did in the battle of Grim Moor. Later, when his body was locked in to be burned later, he "came back" and later that morning the guards were found drained of blood. Witch hunters chased after Konrad but he escaped into the depths of Black Water. Now he seeks revenge on the Empire.
