Greetings!
I`ve composed a new Wood Elf Character, but I have a bit of trouble on giving him the right point cost value. Since his abilities are quite unique, PCC hasn`t been able to help me much. Any comments are welcome. I tried, for once make a Special Character who is not a mighty H-T-H fighter, but rather a good tool for a more strategically minded general.

SOROND, THE MINSTREL OF ATHEL LOREN

Sorond the Bard is the minstrel of the court of Loren, and the most famous musician of this age of the Old Word. Since his youth Sorond has blended his considerable talents in magic to his outstanding gift of composing and performing music. In the enchanted glades of Loren, one can hear his gloriously pure singing voice as it echoes through the Blessed Forest. It is said that a mortal man can be so entranced by his singing for a hundred years, standing still and not realising the passage of time. The Wood Elves value their bard above all gems and jewelry, and Sorond is welcome even in the tables of the Elf Kings. When war threatens Athel Loren, the clarion calls of the Wood Elf scouts bid the Elf Host to assemble, and Sorond is always amongst the first that arrive. In battle he uses his enchanted voice against the enemies of the Forest and to sooth and calm the Elf warriors and sharpen their hatred of evil to a keen edge.

MAY RIDE:
Sorond may ride an elven steed (+3 points).
WEAPONS/ARMOR:
Sorond wears no armour and is armed with a hand weapon and a longbow.
MAGIC ITEMS:
Sorond may have one magic item this may be chosen from the appropriate cards Warhammer Battle Magic or Arcane Magic. Usually he carries his enchanted harp, Nolandte.

SPECIAL RULES:

SONGS OF ENCHANTMENT:
Sorond is the master of the peculiar branch of magic that entraps the Winds of Magic with songs. In the beginning of each of your own turns, you may choose one of the following songs that Sorond uses. the effect lasts your entire turn and that of your opponent`s, unless otherwise noted. Sorond MUST be placed in the front rank of his unit if he wishes to use his magical songs.
HYMN OF HATRED:
Sorond, and any unit he is with, will hate all the enemy models. See rules for hatred in Warhammer Rulebook.
WARDING SONG:
Sorond, and any unit he is with, have 4+ dispel against any hostile magic.
VOICE OF POSSESSION:
This song allows Sorond to take over any single model within 12". The target must take a standard Ld check. If this is failed, Sorond gains the control of the target. The possessed model is immediately separated from any unit he was accompanying and is considered to be in H-T-H combat with them. Otherwise the possessed model is treated excatly as part of the Wood Elf army, and may move, cast spells and fight at the same time as the rest of the Wood Elves.
The Possessed model is allowed a new Ld check at the beginning of any new Wood Elf turn. The Possession ends immediately if Sorond is killed or changes the song he is using.
SONG OF CALMNESS:
This song makes Sorond and any unit he is with immune to Fear, Terror, Panic and Stupidity.
CALL OF BRAVERY:
This song can be used to rally any one fleeing Wood Elf unit within 12" immediately. Note that this song allows the rallied unit to reform AND move immediately after rallying. This song can be used only once per Wood Elf turn, and affects only single unit.
TUNE OF LUCK:
This song binds the winds of Celestial magic around Sorond and any unit he is with, and grants them +1 to their armour save.

NEW MAGIC ITEMS:

NOLANDTE, THE HARP OF LOREN
Nolandte was made by the greatest Wood Elf artisan of all time, Nolan son of Naloer. It is a Harp made out of silver and white wood, and it is considered to be the finest instrument ever made.
Once per magic phase Nolandte can unleash a spell against any enemy unit or single model within 24" inches. The target must immediately make a Ld test or it will be unable to move or shoot during the next turn, and suffers -1 reduction on any further Ld tests it takes.
Nolandte can also be used as a longbow. Arrows shot with it have a magical S of 4 and normal armour is ineffective against it`s hits. Magic armour saves as normal.
