Karen was the one to contact the Dragons of Heaven herself. When Sorata and Arashi were following Kamui, she came to them. It seems that before this part, she was looking at Kamui's previous home when she saw Tooru Megami being kidnapped. Tooru had left a message with her, telling her to tell kamui to protect the Holy Sword.
Like Arashi, she has had a sad childhood *sob, really sad but she was very pretty already then*. When she was a child, she used to play with 'fire' in the church. Her mother saw it, beat her and called her "akuma"(devil/demon). Due to her beating, Karen later ended up in the hospital. But I think in spite of all these, she cared about Karen a lot.
