Sorata was the first Dragon of Heaven to look for Kamui and met with Yuuto Kigai. They ended up fighting. They had to stop when Fuuma barged into Sorata's kekkai which was quite impossible for someone who's not a Dragon(then). He met with Arashi Kishuu when he felt her kekkai and he and Kamui rushed to the scene. Sorata knew that he was to die because of a woman and he chose Arashi to be the one. He would protect her. Although Sorata would always get 'hurt' by Arashi when he gets too intimate, he never gave up on her.
Sorata was very hyper during his childhood. When he was 3 years old, he was separated from his parents. Under the orders of the great Stargazer, he was taken to be a monk at Kouyasan. As he saw his mother crying, he vowed he would never let a woman cry for him again.
