Andrew Lahr N912PL

I am in that  mysterious 1/2 done area.  I bought my kit after the PL was introduced as a wide body, and took delivery of one of the first with gel coating.  I have since exchanged the cowling for the longer model that allows the new style of engine mount that is designed for the 914 Rotax.  The difference in mounts is the new design uses a ring on the back of the engine and it reduces the vibration that is transmitted back to the fuselage.  I also bought the option to put aluminum noseribs in the wings at the joints of the leading edge skins and midway between the joints.  I have been using alumadyne and epoxy primer on all interior aluminum surfaces.  I am sure it is better than the Zinc- Chromate they mention in the instructions.  My plan is tricycle, with dual brakes, & cabin heat.

I don't have any photos I'm proud of but will mail when I get something worth showing.
