Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of the pretigious Howard University on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two dynamic, dedicated women. Membership in our illustrious sorority consists of college-educated predominantly African American women with chapters across the United States, Bahamas, Republic of Korea, Japan, Bermuda, Haiti, Liberia, Germany, Haiti, and the Virgin Islands.
Our sorority's five point thrust program consists of the following:

Oceola McCarthy Adams, Margurite Young Alexander, Winona Cargile Alexander, Ethel Cuff Black, Bertha Pitts Campbell, Zephyr Chisom Carter, Edna Brown Coleman, Jessie McGuire Dent, Fredrica Chase Dodd, Myra Davis Hemmings, Olive Jones, Jimmie Bug Middleton, Pauline Oberdorfer Minor, Vashti Turley Murphy, Naomi Sewell Richardson, Mamie Reddy Rose, Eliza P. Shippen, Florence Letcher Toms, Ethel Carr Watson, Wertie Blackwell Weaver, Madree Penn White, Edith Motte Young I am from Clinton, Md. I attended the Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. with a major in Flute and Piccolo. I graduated from Morgan State University in 1991 and was an active member in the ROTC Program. Upon graduation, I received my commission from the United States Army Reserves. I am currently in the IRR with USAR. My most recent accomplishment was my marriage to the man of my dreams. Yes, I am a newlywed and November 10, 2001 is a day I will never forget and will treasure always. Lastly, I graduated on May 22,2003 with a MBA from John Hopkins University Praise the Lord!!!!!! |
