Glennis Delano P.O. Box 3756 Apache Jct., AZ. 85217 USA
Dear Glen and Evelyn,
At last I am sitting down to get my mail out. I have been meaning to do this long before now.
I hope this finds both of you in good health and spirits.
How are things there these days? Have you seen anymore family members or heard from any?
I called Kevin Williams in Fla. (he was the one who came to visit The Marney Family ~ in New Brunswick asked for the Temperance Vale Book to help compile geneology for the Marney Family). a while back and one of their Cousins was there from your area (Donna Noble) , I think that is where he said they were from. She was visiting.
I have been compiling more on Marney family ancesters since I spoke to you last. It seems some information you gave helped me in locating more on other family members.
I do hope this packet does not overwhelm you as it is a lot. It is thought all relatives of yours and mine and a big lot of us there is """
Let me refresh your memory here. CHARLES MARNEY and wife ANN AIRTH came to Canada from SCOTLAND. JOSHUA and DAVID sons that came with them from SCOTLAND''
Our line is through JOSHUA. he married Eliza Ann Carney which I have in possession her name was not Cormier but CARNEY. death records of maine where she is burried and died. have enclosed copy for you to see.

Now where do I find 2 more children well; if you will look at my G. Grand-mothers Obituary* you will note she has 2 sisters and 1 brother living. Julia Henderson and Charles Marney these are the two newest additions no one had any idea existed "Louisa Manford of Ottawa".
In my search I found Julia Henderson over in NOVA SCOTIA area near Edward. Julia husband listed Alexander P Henderson. They are found on USA CENSUS 1902 - 1900 in Everett City Mass. This is near Boston.
Children: 1. Edith A. Henderson b. Feb. 1887 Massachusetts, USA 2. Hazel J. Henderson b. May 1890 , Mass. USA 3. Mildred E. Henderson b. Aug. 1892 Mass, USA 4. Edna E.V. Henderson b. Oct. 1893, Mass. USA 5. Margarett Hender5son b. Nov. 1894 , Mass, USA
Charles I am unable to find anything about but I will keep on trying.
Kevin Williams (Fla) sent me children 1 thru 9 and I've copies down the way he has them. He is from William Henry line (same as the Noble children) and I am from Williams sister Annie Eliza line. Her name is actually Elliza Annie after her mother I'd say.
A lot of reading and rereading you learn more by this. Now on a Census in Canada I just noticed something very odd. Most give William Henry being born in N.B. CN but one here gives U.S. as his birth place. What are we to make of this I wonder? Are you as puzzled as I over this one ?? *
From what I gather in research I amay have some of other children mates. Not any absolate but feel these are them. Catherine married James Daley. Lived in New Hampshire USA ! 1 child: Grace C. Daley b. about 1902.
You mentioned a cousin Harry Marney. That was one of Edwards sons. I have listed Edwards children elsewhere. But list again her, Ross, Claude, Charles Harry, Earl, Girvian, Ralph and Helen. I found Helen's son in Maine and called him 2 weeks ago. What joy again as he knew not of us. We now have a link of cousins on Edwards line. Roger Stiles is his name. He is 75 and be 76 last day of June. He has 2 sons. Roger has a brother Cortland Roy Stiles b. 1922. sister Agnes married a nice fellow lives in Fla. b. 1924 Doreene b 1920 deceased now.
Told me Harry has a daughter Audrey Chapman that is alive and lives in Amherst, Nova Scotia. In fact out of many many Marneys that used to live there she is now only one left. Harry also had a daughter Elaine but she is now deceased.
How did I stumble onto this family? Not easy, but being persistant and reading and rereading what info. I had it dawned on me to look in other areas. My Great Grandmothers paper write up gave lead a brother Charles. I went to Messa Family Genealogy center and got onto computer. I was able to find on the social Security Death List a Charles Marney only he was in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. A call to Twon office told me his parents name and they fit into the list I had. I sent for records and then called the newspaper to see if any write up on him. Bingo. Up until that very time no one knew Vaughn Marney of Springfield, Mass. He was father to Harold Marney a cousin also of yours and mine that went down during 2nd world war on a PTl09 boat. I have been most 3 years trying to find information on that family and dead end until I reached newspaper write up about death of Charles. He is the Vaughn Marney no one knew name. Vaughn is middle name. He came to USA lived in Springfield, Mass. area, summered in Old Orchard Beach , Maine. Once I received the newspaper clipping it gave those living as is customery here. A daughter Elaine Piorek in Enfiield, conn. I looked up town and copied all with that last name down and called lst. on list. She was very pleasant and said knew who I needed to speak with. Gave me name and telly number. I called and spoke with Elaine's husband as she is deceased. Irving was delightful person and we had a lovely chat as I did with you way back. He told me about Roger Stiles and where he lived.
I happened to have an old telly book that I brought to Az 10 yes ago when we moved here and Roger Stiles number in it. I called him and what a fun time we had.
Irving said we have a Cousin in St. Johns that is an Eye Dr. could not remember his name though. Have you heard about this cousin?
I found a Levina Eagles married name in Salisbury, NB 1891 Census that seems to fit the sister to William Henry and Annie Marney. Her husband name Ezekiel M. Eagles. Children: Elizabeth, Carrie, ??? Pilus???, Sara, Amassa, Elbon, Caeford, Ella ans Corey. Reason to believe he is the person who filed this is related in some way as he put in about the Felix Lewis family of which Joshua wife's mother Rebecca Lewis Carney from.
I have written Mr. Eagles and waiting for a reply.
I have no information about Rebecca, Arthur, Louisa, or Leslie or charles.
Believe Rebecca Lewis parents Felix and Elizabtth (Trites) Lewis. All lived at ame time in Salisbury, NB.
John Carne Carney and Rebecca Lewis Carney had these Children found on Census: Eliza A., Margaret, Elizabeth, Hannah, Jane, Mercy, Caroline, Ronann L//?? John.
Eliza married Joshua Marney. Thus the rest of us in line on down to our day. Marney family Joshua came from in Scotland enclosed too.
Joshua brother David and wife Margaret Marney children and 1881 Census Calvin, David, Ann, Louisa, Frank,. 1861 Census Children: Mary, charles, Ann Isabella and Calvin.

Hal said impossible for me to do one fouurth of what I want to. I guess he is so right. I cannot ge too stressed out end up in a Hospital with this heart again. Well I will have to do what I can and let rest wait til next time I guess.
I know you said you are not much of a writer Glen. do you think your daughter (Donna) might write for you?
Is anyone there in your family interested in family or has any photos of ones there can share with me? I would be willing to pay for them.
I was raised not know. Any of family and I have missed out on such a warm loving one all these years. My mother never raised to know her Dad's family and not her Mothers either really. Mother is bitter but I am the opposite. I want to know the relatives and get to be with them all I can. My sister does not care she is a lot like Mother. They think I am nuts to do this but not so and I try to tell them to take hold and get to know all they can. Hard for Mother but Sister sure not be all that difficult a thing to do.
I am enclosing pictures for you and you can show them to other familys that drop in to say Howdy to you all there.
Hope I have not wore you completely out with this long letter. Take your time to read through packet no rush. Most happy to be able to do this for you.
Hope to hear from someone up your way sometime soon.
The Arizona Cousin of the Southwest USA sending Warm Love;
Hal & Glennis Delano, Sr.
