This film
combines live action backgrounds with computer animated dinosaurs
and special effects to offer audiences a breathtakingly realistic
glimpse at a land that lives only in their imaginations.
Dinosaur contains a unique
story where a Pterodactyl
steals a dinosaur egg, but is disrupted, by
smaller birds, while in flight to its nest, causing the
Pterodactyl to drop
the dinosaur egg. The hatching egg ends up in the hand of lemurs
who raise the dinosaur inside. The dinosaur is raised thinking
it is a lemur (i.e. like Tarzan thinking he is an ape)
named Aladar. Years later, when a meteor collides with
earth,
destroy-ing Lemur Island, Aladar and his adopted family must begin
a journey of courage, survival and hope with a herd of dinosaurs
on a quest to find a new beginning. The
dinosaur comes in handy in a moses-scenario where he must help
lead his people to safety with the many skills he has learned.
The film is being created
photorealistic instead of cartoonish. All the animals will
look very real. The dinosaurs in this movie talk. An interesting
challenge would have been if the movie
had been made with no talking at all. We've received
reports about disagreement, when the concept of the film was
originated, as to whether the dinosaurs should talk or not. |
