| Greeting
the new millennium is Fantasia / 2000, which offers seven
all-new animated sequences set to such classical music as
Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in
Blue and Stravinsky’s The Firebird. The world
premiere took place at Carnegie Hall with the Philharmonia
Orchestra of London performing the music live. A concert tour with
the Philharmonia Orchestra then took Fantasia / 2000 around
the world with performances in London, Paris, Tokyo and Los
Angeles before the film opened on New Year’s day exclusively in
IMAX theaters. Fantasia / 2000 will go into local theaters
in July. |
