The hearty and brave members of the Treasure Hunters Society of Santa Clara Valley Evidence Recovery Teams gave it their best on Saturdays the 19th and 26th of October. Every type of detector was used and some of the most experienced detectorists were at hand to assist the San Jose Police Department in locating evidence discarded in an area best named "The Black Lagoon".

Though the evidence was not found, everyone participated to their best ability. All worked hard trying not to get sucked down in the depths of black muck, and some did need assistance in getting out of a bad situation. In all, we had a good time and were graciously supplied with hot coffee and donuts by the San Jose Police. They were very pleased with our efforts and most likely will ask for our assistance again.
