Peter Parker is covering the opening of an impressive sky-scraper. One remarkable aspect of the building is that its safety features are controlled by a sophisticated computer, CMB 958. The opening is interruptedwhen Forrester, an ex-army major, and his band of terrorists sabotage the computer and load the building with explosives. Forrester captures the guests at the opening and demands ten million dollars for their release. The police give in to his demands, but Spidey intervenes and captures all the villains except the computer expert Farnum. Farnum is killed when Forrester's explosives destroy the building.
