TERROR TAFFY
This is a recipe for taffy...note this is a molasses based one, you
can add flavourings if you wish.
1 cup of molasses 1 teaspoon vinegar
I cup of sugar 1 tablespoon of butter
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over low heat to 270 degrees (using a candy thermometer),
stirring constantly. Pour onto a greased platter. Cool, lifting edges toward center. Shape into a
ball. Pull until light yellow in colour. Stretch into a long rope;
cut into 1 inch pieces. Wrap each piece in waxed paper when cooled
completely. About 1 1/4 lbs. of candy
