D.T.A.

Sometimes being nice can get people screwed.
Where others are heartless, careless, and crude.
Where you try to be as warm as the sun,
Maniputaling minds is referred to as "fun."
If you see someone "nice" coming your way,
Just remember three letters: D.T.A.

People are a challenge to figure out.
Where manipulating minds is what they are about.
Forgetting others problems are a big joke.
There are sometimes I wish they would croak.
If you see someone "caring" coming your way,
Just remember three letters: D.T.A.

Material possessions have a significant meaning.
Holding on to it for life like an animal's weaning.
I thank God for not giving me the power to lash out,
With violence, vengance, and no ability to shout.
If you see someone "familiar" coming your way,
Just remember three letters: D.T.A.

Then again, there's a counterpart to this poem...

Never lose heart or spirit.
You have a lot of guts and no need to fear it.
You know what the right thing to do in any circumstance.
Don't let injustice blind you, not even nonsense.

Sure the world is full of deceit.
Times you win, there are times you must accept defeat.
All of us know we deserve a second chance.
Don't let your reasoning be sidelinded because of nonsense.

Foolishness is a cornerstone for evil.
It's like an annoying pigeon on your windowsill.
If you progress is blocked by this foolish fence,
You have a special gift, and it's "overcoming nonsense."

Many say that love is a beautiful thing,
Like a wedding day with two gold rings.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
Something that cannot be knocked off like a chip on a shoulder.
As I witness heaven and nature sing,
I don't see eye to eye when you say, "Love Is A Beautiful Thing."

Love is like a two way street,
A point to cross paths, and a point to meet.
At each corner, there is a light.
One to guide you, while the other makes you lose your sight.
When you and your "better half" have a wild fling,
I don't see eye to eye when you say, "Love Is A Beautiful Thing."

Fury can ignite conflicts in the best of us.
Fear can make us do the unexpected.
Sugar Shock.
Love can bubble up emotions that were never there.
Lust can make us naive.
Happiness can brighten a room.
Anger will make you wound.
Sugar Shock.
Frustration will distract you.
Shyness creates hidden beauty.
Cockiness causes fatal errors.
Surprises does more harm than good.
Hunger makes you want more.
Courage makes you a legend.
Sugar Shock.
Coldness loses friends.
A story that never ends.
Sugar Shock.
Evil makes you lie.
Eighty years from now, you will die.
Sugar Shock.
Heart makes a personality.
Let's begin a better reality.
Sugar Shock.

The nineteen year war has finally ended.
I cannot, should not, and will not be reminded
Of all of the suffering and pain
That disrupted and corrupted my brain.
You can run from your past, or learn from it.
That individual is really full of it.
A whirlwind took the pain away,
So that I may enjoy another day.
I realized that this person is obsolete.
And without that person I know now that my life is complete.
As I roam the streets, I don't know who it is.
If I do see that person's face, it's none of my biz.
After reading this poem, you can relate.
